Warren Sulatycky is a Gemini-nominated (Canada’s Emmy) multi-disciplinary filmmaker, artist, writer, and theatre creator who has been professionally working in Canadian and international theatre, film, television and the visual arts since the 1980’s. Most recently Warren produced, directed, wrote, edited and acted in his feature film "April in Autumn" which was selected to screen at the Cannes Film Festival/Marche du Film in Telefilm's Perspective Canada - Cannes showcase of the best of Canadian cinema 2017/18. His professional theatre career highlights include plays produced across Canada and the United States; playwright-in-residence at the Factory Theatre, Toronto and Blyth Theatre Festival; director observer on Robert Lepage’s “Geometry of Miracles” in Glasgow, Scotland and the National Theatre, London, England; producer/actor in the off-Broadway production of New York Times critically acclaimed production of “Trout Stanley” at the Culture Project, Manhattan; alumni of the Directors Lab at Lincoln Centre, New York, and Directors Lab West at the Pasadena Playhouse, Calif. He was General Manager of the Theatre Centre in Toronto from 1990-92, and is Artistic Director/Producer of Renaissant Arts, an interdisciplinary multi-arts company. Warren has directed, produced and written over 250 hours of network television series. From 2004 to 2008 Renaissant Arts maintained an international development space in Soho, Manhattan. Warren has received awards and grants for his writing and creative projects from Telefilm Canada, The Canada Council, the Ontario Arts Council, the Toronto Arts Council, National Film Board, the OMDC, and the Laidlaw Foundation among others.
Warren is Founder/CEO of SulaMedia Group, a wholly-owned company that spans his various disciplines of film, television, theatre, literary and visual arts presentation. He is executive producer of Raging River Pictures.
